9. Suitcasing Policy
Supplier Attendance Restrictions
To protect the commercial integrity and value of Event sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, suppliers, vendors, service providers, consultants, and other commercial organisations (Suppliers) are not permitted to attend the Event unless they are an approved and fully paid sponsor or exhibitor under a current written agreement with STAAA.
STAAA reserves the right, acting reasonably, to determine whether an individual or organisation is attending in a Supplier or commercial capacity.
If STAAA reasonably determines that an attendee has registered or is attending in breach of this restriction, STAAA may:
-
cancel the registration;
-
refuse entry to the Event; or
-
remove the attendee from the Event,
and in such circumstances no refund will be provided, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law.
STAAA may request further information regarding an attendee’s business activities or purpose of attendance to assess compliance with this policy.
Suitcasing Policy
STAAA strictly enforces a Suitcasing Policy to protect the integrity of the Event and the legitimate commercial interests of sponsors, exhibitors and attendees.
Suitcasing refers to the practice of non-sponsoring or non-exhibiting individuals or organisations soliciting business, promoting services, distributing promotional materials, conducting commercial meetings, or otherwise engaging in commercial activity at or in connection with the Event without prior written approval from STAAA.
Policy Details:
Only approved sponsors and exhibitors may promote or market their products, services or brand during the Event.
Attendees must not display or distribute promotional materials, or wear clothing, lanyards, or accessories primarily intended for commercial promotion, unless they are an approved sponsor or exhibitor.
Attendees found, acting reasonably in STAAA’s opinion, to be engaging in unauthorised promotional or commercial activities may be removed from the Event without refund (except as required under Australian Consumer Law).
STAAA reserves the right to refuse future attendance, sponsorship or exhibition opportunities to any individual or organisation that breaches this policy.
This policy applies to all areas associated with the Event, including the venue, session rooms, exhibition spaces, networking areas, social functions and any officially organised pre or post event activities.
